Who are ‘Mini Concerts’?
Our ‘Mini Concerts’ provide Residential Care and Nursing Homes unique live concert experiences for their residents without the need for them to travel. The concerts are performed by young artists who are currently in training for careers in the entertainment industry, and as such are at the very start of their journey. Mini Concerts C.I.C. is a non for profit organisation that provides audiences with affordable quality entertainment whilst making sure that the young performers they work with earn fair pay for their time and talent.
Each session is usually one hour long, during which the young artist sings a selection of classic songs, and talks to the residents about their training, past shows, and what it’s like to be a young performer in today’s world. The music they perform is specially chosen by the artist for each occasion, and ranges from classic tunes from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, songs from the musicals, and even one or two more contemporary songs that have already become classics.
As you would expect, all our performers are vetted, trained, and fully insured to perform in care/nursing home environments. Giving you the peace of mind that you’ll receive a professional service on the day.
Although the beneficial use of music in care homes is well documented, we make no dramatic therapeutic claims regarding our concerts. Instead, we pledge to provide local care homes with access to affordable entertainment through young people who will strive to brighten their residents days and love what they do.
